Friendly DaggerA Poem by Annika PatrickYou, whom I thought was one of my dearest friends, have stabbed a dagger in my heart, causing pain to slice through me. It slices through me, leaving me left in the dark, the sad, unforgiving, hateful dark. My only question is why, why must you insist onbreaking me, killing me on the inside, attempting to make me stop this new friendship? I have to honestly tell you that this friendship you're trying to break, it's much more important to me than this one, you hardly even know me, and he knows all. Our friendship is over unless you can convince me that you were kidding, apologize to us both, and promise to never again do anything like this. Mind you, it may not work, your trust may never be regained, and I might only on random occasions speak with you. You stabbed your friendship dagger in deep and now it's over. I must say, though, you hurt me, and yet I can still laugh at you. You can hardly even look at me, and when youdo your face is filled with pain, sadness, longing, and the hope for forgiveness. © 2008 Annika PatrickReviews
