A Girl Like You

A Girl Like You

A Poem by Kaitlin Siobhan

and I just want to scream
tonight i'm alone
how you intending it to be
i'm a demon in my own eyes
and probably to you
i'm a danger wrapped in her lies
i'm broken hearted shattered mind
dumb and senseless all the time
this girl's got me blind folded
and i'm just that pathetic
to trust a girl like her
to follow as she guides me
a cliff where i'm to fall
i'm just that hopeless
to let my heart run free
for those like her to capture
ball and chains i'm a mess
how she intended me to be
and it comes from all directions
i've got to run
run fast today
but now my feet are grounded
with her is where I need to stay
run run away
they tell me
and run is what I can't do
can't tell me they wouldn't do this
if they met a girl like you
