Tears

A "friend" betrayed me, this is my outlet.

You said you were my sister

Now I'm not so sure,

You blackened my heart,

And made me question myself.

 

My eyes fill with tears,

My heart with pain,

Questions surrond me,

And endless what ifs?

 

I want to forgive,

But for now,

A grudge is what I need,

Because you hurt me.

 

My heart all but bleeds,

For the loss of a friend,

I know someday we'll meet again,

However your betrayal still stings.

 

Do you know the hurt you've caused?
Do you know the sorrow I feel?
Do you know that I loved you?
Do you know I still care?

This was on the spot, I needed to have an outlet and well, here it is. This is how it was written. No editing. This is the first and only draft.

Sometimes those closest to us can hurt us the deepest, and I'm sure that we've all had someone do just that... wound our spirit. But tomorrow is another day, and forgiving allows us to heal faster.
