Tommy The Turtle

Tommy The Turtle

A Poem by Tom Friel

I was walking back
from “This and That”
I found a rock
and there I sat.

Upon the rock
alone I stared,
beyond the grass
I saw a hare.

The bees they buzzed,
the birds they flew,
the world’s so busy
I’ve nothing to do.

I sat and sat
and sat some more,
I saw a turtle
just as bored.

“Can I share your rock?
There’s room for two.”
He said, “Why not.”
We enjoyed the view.

We sat and sat
and sat some more,
comparing shells
no longer bored.

Okay, this was seriously fantastic. What a completely adorable poem. I wanna talk to a turtle. *_* The only thing I'd add is some punctuation for the dialogue, a few question marks here and there, perhaps? :) Great job!!!
