Solitary In Multitude

Solitary In Multitude

A Poem by Priyal

Edit

SOLITARY IN

I watch the crowd of people around me

as from a distance I see,

Lost in it somewhere,

yet nowhere...

feeling like a part of it,

not sure where will i fit.

Many of them are nice to me

Now I can recognize many faces...

I can find them,

I can find u.

With warm welcome and loving embraces...

trusting everyone

is nothing hard to do.

Some dear, some close

with so many names,

I love to be bound

with their friendly chains.

Keeping aside the thought

that they will ever change...

I ignore the times when I feel

the sweetness somewhat strange...

But something was changing

I couldn’t see,

So delicate the motions be...!!

And now all the fancy has passed,

At last,

Just some of them

the true ones remain...

Others will pretend

the lies, the fake

things I just can’t take

and I’m quite myself again...

So after all I have been through

the gestures and faces people show,

How much they are true

I can never know.

Losing people, losing warmth

the silence and moving apart,

Certainly hurts me a lot every time

So what,

I wipe my tears and clear my sight

they just make it hard to decide

what’s wrong or right.

So when I meet people again

For some moments,

I simply stand and gaze...

All in vain

I smile, I talk,

I listen to them

and walk past them

along my ways...!!!

It's really a hard thing to do, to write the emotions in brief. It's so beautiful to read the human heart.
