Why did you say I am beautiful

Why did you say I am beautiful

A Poem by Prritiy

Why did you say I am beautiful?
This earth has but one graceful
Voice - sprinkling water, full of sweetness
Heart childlike full of tenderness

You said on my forehead does the sun rise

The sparkling stars twinkle in my eyes
Untied hair were the clouds floating
My words-honeyed, were ever enchanting

We were inseparable like scent and flowers
Into each other’s eyes we would gaze for hours
Life was sincere responsibility, still was fun
Come what may, from trouble we would not run

You said the faults were "often, majorly yours"
To harmonize the relation "efforts, of course ours"
Reasons superficial but galore you drifted
My silent words but no longer gifted

We, our being full of pain and longing
Still we couldn’t be each other’s belonging
The parting, an amicable solution be graceful

Still why did you say I am beautiful.

One who really loved you has his own assessment.
Besides,as John Keats pointed out long ago:
"A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:
Its loveliness increases; it will never
Pass into nothingness; but still will keep
A bower quiet for us, and a sleep"
So enjoy the compliments,dear friend.
Enjoy the superb parting as you have passionately wrote down:
"The parting, an amicable solution be graceful"
