she is my mother

originally written in my language Hindi (http://prritiy.blogspot.in/2011/01/blog-post.html), but i believe the essence is there.

She is my Mother

love flows continuously
improving the world smilingly
striving for good of all persons
who has taught me these lessons

she is my mother
 
sharing of, all acquires
showing mirror to desires
family comes first always
who showed me these ways

she is my mother

sleeping sometimes discontent
filling, every heart with content
jaggery is sweeter than sweets
who preached sacrifice concretes

she is my mother

giving warmth to young
showing reverence to elder
giving up self-pride for other
who showed the mode of honor

she is my mother

get respect always by all

considered lovable by all
smilingly, face the obstacles

from where, got these counsels

she is my mother

astute just like mother
industrious just like mother
today I am beloved daughter
who gave me this lovable candor

she is my mother
