A breath

A breath

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

A breath of an I love you
sets me free
makes me honest
and helps me sleep at night.

The words cleansing me
showing you up
keeping you on your toes
because they are they are uninvited.

A whisper of honest hope
tells you of my intent
tells my secrets
tells the truth
even if it goes on deaf ears.

This is really beautiful. I especially loved the part:

"A whisper of honest hope
tells you of my intent
tells my secrets
tells the truth
even if it goes on deaf ears."

Keep up the great work,
~Lauren
