Laughter in the morningA Poem by Sarah McKeever HittFrom the moment he left my bed your laughter filled my room Mocking my attempts. It must not matter a bit that the only time my eyes rolled back was when it was granted by you. You knew it all along that those others had no claim on my happiness but you let me believe I could find it without you. Cruel and just like you. It makes sense to me that you had to find me in this situation Laughing while I run around wild. Leaving me to never quite understand why you set me free to love another man.
