Flashy Lights

Flashy Lights

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

Its been three weeks solid
my silence killing me
when I see you in the flashing lights.
Harnessing the spectrum
our skin meets under the gaze of god.
Please keep me close before I collapse.
I want you,
More than just the breath on my neck
fingers running down my arm.
I need the invasion of your eyes into my mind
taking what's yours
after all these years.
