Glimmer Shimmer Show-off

Glimmer Shimmer Show-off

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

Is it fiction or is it fact,

my glimmer shimmer show off?

Crowds may applaud you.

but not me

my cheap seat attitude stays honest

when the masses leave their seats.

How is it you stand so still

amongst the thrilling chaotic majesty?

Tactful, tacky and oh so unrefined

shines your face in the lights.

I am hopeful your fall from grace shall be uncanny

to the down pillows you sleep on tonight.

A shame it would be to spoil your makeup

even with nobody there to see.
