Random act.A Poem by Patrick O'NeilA man walks into a dinner.
a stressed, drunk robber, pulls the trigger.
Girl of thirteen, assaulted in a alley,
the man that had her trapped, showed no mercy.
A cop, sold stuff, he believed won't be missed.
Only to end up, in a cage, of steel and concrete.
Random act, on random days and random streets.
The heading on the news and what we tweet.
The cop sold the gun, to a gang member
who used it, for a rape and murder.
The grieving father, on his way to work
the one to die, that day, in that dinner.
Drunk and homeless, swears a man
drop the gun, as he ran, from that alley.
Random act, on random days and random streets.
If we are to believe this tweet?
Never will we see,
the random act of one
multiplied, connected to three.
