Foolishness

Foolishness

A Poem by Caleb

I find it hard to know;

How free-verse came to grow.

She writes without constraint;

A horrid piece to paint.

So many have been caught,

In a tightly wrapped knot.

The lie free-verse conjured,

A lie so few ponder.

I do not see beauty,

In those that speak freely;

A voice should not be cased

When reins have yet been placed.

We should come together,

Reinstate this tether.

The thing that holds us down,

Things worthy of a crown.

You who take me a fool,

For you are just a tool.
