The signs were there but,
you chose to ignore them
Turned a judgmental eye
to all you didn't understand
Closed yourself off in a cave
of self inflicted delusions
But the pounding wolf at the door
still comes to feast on your fear
And now there is nothing left of us
but carrion for the vultures.
This poem is so ambiguous...so many angles could appeal to the meaning. However, I don't think this is working against it...rather, it really enhances this piece. almost as if it could apply to anyone or anything. It also serves as a wonderful warning for those who'd prefer to ignore injustices and the like...eventually, it knocks on your own door. Lovely write, good job!
See I told you this was good!!! And thanks for naming me for the title.
I loved this poem and I felt strength in it. Kind of dark but it had a meaning
in it deeper for me. To me it meant........There were signs that you should
of payed better attention to and still having problems but kind of looking the
other way. Its tells me also that you think its too late but what can you do?
I may be wrong but thats how I read it. And I was amazed how much depth
you can get in just a few words.

This is my letter to the world,
That never wrote to me,-
The simple news that Nature told,
With tender majesty.
Her message is committed
To hands I cannot see;
For love of her, sweet .. more..
