Raindrops

So in comes the downpour of
acquaintances like droplets of rain,
vertical waters drop and disappear
through years to cry tears of pain.

This metaphor is a fantastic way to convey this sentiment.

I like how you began on “So” suggesting perhaps a tone of mundaness or predictability of the theme? Or perhaps this word could be used to convey that these words are a continuation of the story, like a “story of my life” concept(if that makes any sense. I could be deriving meanings that are way off).

I think the rain to tears metaphor
works well, and I like “and disappear/ through years”.
