My umi saysA Poem by QuaddethWe should all live in our own minds, and turn our guns towards those that do not. For those of you wondering. And there I held it. To my temple, Indefinitely I alit, Spontaneously simple.
My Umi says shine your light on the world.
They say we only have one life, We must live it their way, But I would rather knife Away what they say,
My Umi says shine your light on the world.
Blades are useless, Do not mistake my words, For it is words that we must caress, If we’re to relive the freedom of birds.
My Umi says shine your light on the world.
So it remained, pressed against my head, The tip dictated to them, empowering me, But it is not power I want, or a shrapnel of lead, You see the object speaks, so boldly, so boldly,
My Umi says shine your light on the world.
At first glance its homicidal, suicidal, You mistake my whim young man, Understandable in your bubble, Hugged by your tender-loving-fickle clan,
My Umi says shine your light on the world.
This gun is biological, Its not pointed at me, Its pointed at your bubbles mural, That hangs the picture of an ideal society.
My Umi says shine your light on the world.
The picture hangs inside my mind, Hung on a sturdy noose, But your opinion depends on time, Your asleep in the caboose.
My Umi says shine your light on the world.
You see my friends, live individually, Read not into what others do, The brain of those who do not walks briskly, Into a grey nothingness, a dreary life, so very long overdue,
My Umi says shine your light on the world, shine it on your existence to. © 2010 QuaddethAuthor's Note
