toxic saviour

toxic saviour

A Poem by Quasi Azuaqi

Imagination stared back
Daring me to refuse
Amber droplets of relief
Tempting me to flow
Lose to that false canvas
It paints for me...

NO
I wrench free
brokenly whispering
"not again"
dashing out the door--

another day
I'm back-- caged
wild, wet
swelling in ANGER's armour

imagination promises
a world that is
mine
"again"
now I'm smiling
in desperately constant
happiness?
