Where Has The Time Gone?

Where has the time gone?

it used to pass so slowly

like angel wings drifting

on that heavenly draft of air

 

But now it's speeding up

and I can feel it passing

it's going too fast for me

to grab a hold onto

 

what has happened to me?

i used to be at the head of the pack

the leader of the life-race

and now i'm far behind

 

I'm stuck in the past now

in the past with teen smiles and hearts

and dreams of college and legality

when time seemed so slow

 

where has it gone?
