Don’t Take This Ride

I see you looking at me

And all you see me doing is turning my head

Staring off into space

You grab my attention

But before you brace me with your presence

I walk away, leaving you in the cold

Just hear me out

While I break the news to you

You don’t want to take this ride

Your way better off finding someone else

I’m not known to break someone’s heart

But this moment in my life

I am capable of doing so

And that’s what kills me

So spare me the pain

And don’t take this ride

There is plenty of others out there

I have to be single right now

Talking to you, will just suck you in

And I don’t want you to fall

When that’s all I am good at..

I need to figure myself out

And I don’t need you telling me I broke your heart

So please just don’t take this ride…
