My best friend called and asked

If I have heard from you..

I said that I tried to contact you

But I didn’t receive anything back

Then he tells me that you have been in the hospital

My heart dropped from my chest

He told me you suffered from overdose..

You have been in the hospital over a week..

You got out today

I felt like getting a hold of you

But I promised I wouldn’t say a word

How could you do this to yourself?

What is so terribly wrong?

You have tons of people that love you

If you left I would have to tell the world what happened

Because my best friend couldn’t do it

The words couldn’t possibly come out of my mouth..

What if you would have died?

What would we all do?

Without you here our worlds would die

Can’t you see

That we love you?

If only people like this would realize that they have people who love and care about them..then maybe they wouldn't try to do the things they do. Sigh..

The mind of an addict thinks of nothing else, and thoughts of suicied or at least drowning out thier troubles with artificial means become their only companions. It becomes impossible to cry out for help. Be there, and listen if he tries to talk to you. Its all you can do...good job at expressing your emotions.
