Escape

Sometimes when you lose faith
You begin to lose yourself..
And sometimes when you drop hope
You start to lose everything..
I want to escape to the ending road
Where all there is, is true happiness
My life has taken the ride
Where I cannot enjoy..
This is my life,
And I’m beginning to think
I chose the wrong path..
And all I do is sink
It’s way too plain and bare
And all I’m searching for is more
I just don’t know how to get it
To where I want it..
All my thoughts are toward escaping
To run from this uninspiring place
Everyday I take a step
I feel like it’s the wrong move
Because everything is wrong..
And all I have are the stars
The moonlight, the wind,
And…. My existence..
