My Heart Is Breaking

 

You cheated on me

And you didn’t even have

The balls to face me

I’m gone, you lost me

 

My heart is breaking

 

I found out my uncle

Doesn’t have much time to live

He has four kids

That I’ve become so close to

 

My heart is breaking

 

We have kids as patients now

They are in major depression

Or very insane

And they are only fifteen

 

My heart is breaking

 

I’m so nice to everyone

I didn’t do anything to anyone

They have their way

And I get treated like I’m nothing

 

My heart is breaking

 

My family works so hard

But we still struggle

My father is a wreck

His body is just broken

 

My heart is breaking

 

I’m being strong

I haven’t cried

The feelings are inside

And aren’t coming out

 

My heart is healing

I like how it wasn't just about a guy breaking your heart. It explains that there are other things that can break your heart. Although, when I keep my feelings in my heart just tears more...Oh well, I liked this poem especially the repetition.Good job!
