Love

Within simplicity lies power.

 

In a world where yield is understood as hit the gas

And children are raised by television,

Where lives are ruled by addictions

And every mistake is someone else's fault,

It's amazing how meeting one person

Can change your whole outlook on the world.

Where a smile towards someone who's troubled

And holding a door open isn't so hard,

In a world where what comes around, goes around

And you couldn't care less if karma existed,

Because you're already on top of the world

Happier than you thought possible

With the person you love.

I thought this poem was very good. I like how it shows how love can change your perspective on things in life. I think I would have liked if it was a little bit longer, but otherwise it was great. =) Good job!
