Tears

The tears she sheds

Are raindrops from heaven above.

Her tears are emotions,

Purity,

Innocence of the world.

Her tears, so precious and innocent,

Are special,

Yet wasted constantly.

She wastes her tears on the worst of the world,

On those who hurt her.

She wastes purity on

The worst of the world, her tears attempt to cleanse them,

But the darkness is just too much for her tears

And are swallowed up.

The poem to me gave an image on the purity of tears yet how they are evidence to judgement and that whole schema behind what's right and what's not. Tears, are something we people often overlook and for you to write something about it, well done. Analytically, the poem is well constructed to serve it's main theme, also the fact of juxtaposing something to do with humanity's melancholy with purity, I applaud you; that was a well made decision. Nice ending to the poem also:) Well done and hoping to read more of your works:)

I have heard that angels collect the tears of women and hold them in small jars. I've always found this image beautiful but so unrealistic as I would require more than one small jar to hold all the tears I've shed. This poem reminds me of that; the purity of emotional tears, the rawness of that act, and yet befallen upon the reasons for the tear shed. Thank you for writing and sharing this poem!
