Conclusion of a Labyrinth With Broken Teeth

Conclusion of a Labyrinth With Broken Teeth

A Poem by Sirajudin Matin

The path leveled before my feet,
As I wondered what direction—
Would lead me to paradise,
And not some fearsome beast,
Two faced and baring teeth,
With a ring of red around her lips.

And again, I hear the sirens singing,
But which one do I trust?

With no heart to guide me—
I’m blind and lost,
Not shackled or bound,
I have complete freedom.
Its seraphs I've lost...

Yet I cannot stop,
Nor turn around,
That battle is finished,
My Blade in her mouth,
As friend hath turned foe,
Like Icarus she offered false wings,
But I'll walk alone—
Before I fly with harpies...

I only need a steady path,
One that won’t lead souls astray…
