With only a number to add to her identity
They call her 146
Looking through the glass window
All you can see is the captivating motionless exterior
Alone, she cries
All alone, she can't bare it anymore
Her dignity is gone
And her life is nothing less of a mess
A defenceless, vunerable and hopeless 8 year old
Is all what that man takes her for
Sold to a total stranger
Only to be raped, beaten and abused
Until she accepts that she is his little prostitute
The tainted and torn red dress that she wears
Each and everyday bring back the pain and fear
She feels like a ghost wandering the earth
In search of the hope that she can't find

Wow! This was really well written. From the very first two lines, I was totally drawn into this piece and I thought that you portrayed the story behind the organisation through your poem really well. You captured some really intense and heartbreaking emotions in this piece, and created some really vivid imagery. The description of the 8 year old girl totally broke my heart, but I guess in reading this piece, I realised just how much pain sexual abuse victims go through, and it really put the situation into perspective.
