To You

To You

A Poem by Rachel

My face is wet
My body is numb
But don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine
I’m down on my knees
Begging for the angels to hear me
But don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine
My cries are growing distant
And everything becomes a blur
But don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine
I didn’t mean to impose on this life of yours
I know you have much bigger things to worry about
Please forgive me if you can
But now I see you standing there with your palms wide open
And head tilted towards the sky, demanding answers from the Heavens
Your  hands are covering your face and you have become
Unrecognizable
But I know you don’t need my help
You’ll be fine

This is truly beautiful. A plea, within a wish, within a hope. Neither asking for or seeking forgiveness for feeling how you do. superb writing. Thank you for sharing this.
