OursA Poem by Rachell R. Taylor
I’ve gone so many miles and still I’m in the same city I don’t know if I like getting Déjà vu off of all my old routes home Here and now becomes less permanent; it’s all soon to change I’d appreciate some control Each address a reset household; markings of my failures I can’t promise I can make it work (promises are gifts humans should not possess) But I will make something for you I will work hard so you never share this worry, this shame, this blame someone can only give themselves I will give you a home, and it will be no ones but ours. © 2008 Rachell R.
