Crying Over a Boy

Crying Over a Boy

A Story by Rachel

I remember watching that beautiful girl cry over a boy.

I remember watching you talk to and comfort that beautiful girl, who was crying over a boy.

I remember thinking how sweet and kind and thoughtful it was of you to be a friend to that beautiful girl, who was crying over a boy.

But it became very apparent that you weren’t just comforting that beautiful girl, who was crying over a boy.

You actually wanted to be the next boy for that beautiful girl.

You did it right in front of me like I didn’t matter to you…

But you made me feel like I did matter, so I never even thought about you and that beautiful girl, who was crying over a boy.

Silly me… Then, for not seeing the truth about you wanting that beautiful girl, who was crying over a boy.

Silly me… Now, because every time I see that beautiful girl, who was crying over a boy,

all I think about is how much you mattered to me,

but I did not matter,

not to you.

“Hey, I read a bit of your work and really liked how you handle character voice. I’m developing a fantasy comic/graphic novel set in a protected woodland where humans, animals, and creatures can all communicate, with some humor mixed in. I’m mainly looking for help with dialogue and character moments. If that sounds interesting, feel free to reply or add me on Discord: laurendoesitall or Instagram: lizziedoesitall.”

Hi!

Your story really stood out to me. The way you write makes the scenes easy to imagine visually, which is always exciting from an artist’s perspective.

I’m a commission artist who focuses on book covers, character illustrations, and visual storytelling. If you ever consider getting custom artwork for your story, I’d love to help create something unique for it.

Hello! I’ve been reading your story and was genuinely impressed by how naturally the emotions unfold. Several scenes instantly translated into strong visual moments in my mind.
I’m a commission-based comic/webtoon artist, and if you’d ever like to explore a visual adaptation, I’d love to discuss it further.
