The Legacy of a Generation
My passion, my home, my nation
Once founded by a righteous generation
The land of the free and just; now in lamentation
darkened with many a bemished sensation

Yet rooted in liberty hope and Godliness
Still my place of haven and refuge
Where one can voice his say with hardyness
Or go where his hearts leads in news

Still a lingering hope preserves
Though brutal attacks fool many
Dressed as angels we get our deserves
Straying from our God uncanny

Yet lost causes are worth figihting for
And visions, dreams, and hopes are eternal
Our ancestors posteritory must fight more
While writing of peace in our neverending journal
