"Happiness Is A Warm Gun."

"Happiness Is A Warm Gun."

A Poem by Rae

If happiness is a warm gun then I've been sweating for years,

down the barrel of these broken bones
and the wiped away tears.

I've been trying to get past the things that I lack but suddenly,
oh suddenly it all came back.

It all came back like flash flash flash,
and when my camera broke I couldn't document anything
from my past it was all just these presents…

These presents that I do not want,
nor do I need.
they just show up on my door step like little homeless babies.

Crying and screaming like they have been sent from above,
I can’t even say to this day that you’re not the one I love.

But I sit,

I sit on a damn chair and I write these damn poems… I waste away.

Until the day,

“Happiness is a warm gun.”

I guess one could think that. Revenge is something everyone deals with. Deep down we like the same pain on the people who hurt us. Or this poem could be about suicide? Suicide for revenge maybe?
The bad thing is what seems like will make you happy doesn't, as a matter of fact it makes us hurt more.
I always say, "Happiness is an elusive b*****d."
