Truth's Shadow

I slaughter with words of venom as they pour from my tongue.
I have eyes set to kill,
One glance makes the devil shake.
And through these words of false truth,
You never fail to make my position stronger.
But know before the end is near,
That the only one, I, Is still waiting here.
Spreading the truth, And nothing more.
No sugar-coated lies to rest your head upon.
Until then I leave you here to bleed,
And irritate the open sores.
For this is life, And nothing more.
