Dreams in FlightA Poem by Rainbowco
In wondrous night dreams, I do not develop feathery wings Yet, I wheel and circle as the wind sings Swooping earthward touching trees Rocketing upwards without unease Among alabaster clouds I do soar Looking about for things to explore Racing toward the oceans end I skim along the waves of sunset’s red A place where sky, water and I blend Waits for me just up ahead, but instead Banking I return counterclockwise To view the moon descending in the sky As does the moon set, so must the sun rise I rub the sands of sleep from my eyes And mourn my flight’s demise © 2008 RainbowcoAuthor's Note
