Pain

I am hurt

The hole within me has been torn wide

And now a demon resides inside

Thriving on my pain and draining my life

And I try..

I try so hard to fill this hole with love

But all I feel now is disgust

This toxic black sludge

Not toward those who've broken my heart and trust

But at myself, who I once was so proud of

I have been judged

This is what I deserve

To hurt

To never again feel worth

To suffer

Until my body leaves this Earth

And never again will I see Your face

For I will be greeted by the shadows and flames

No longer will I feel Your grace

My tears will be the acid rain

To burn my soul away until eternity fades
