There Forever

 

Death usually comes and goes

Sadness no more for the life

That sleeps forever

Someone goes sooner

Someone later

But it comes!

 

A saddest hymn stays

And extracts the blood

That’s there on faces

As humanity expires!

Nicely done! I like this one the best. A poem about death that reads like someone is dieing; it slowly flows to its end, leaving the reader with a sad feeling. The title is really metaphorical. "There Forever" Death ends life, but it (Death) is "There forever". Short and very well written. Excellent!
