Today’s not what we see

Today’s come after ten summers

Today’s not what we expect

Today’s told us to take I-turn

 

Today’s what I believe

Today’s what we count

As it merely records happiness

 

I do, really, I do thank to someone for today

Not for its simple outcome, but for it’s

Coinciding with every hope

 

Today should be the day

As the day evokes!

Time is a funny thing. Most measure it in linear streams but I do not find truth in a beginning or an end but in the continuation of being. As sure as every mind is certain that the body will die, every soul is certain that the spirit will live or else our every moment would be spent in terror. But the soul will not have it. The soul knows its own eternity like the mind knows the fragile shell that holds the spirit. Today. tomorrow and yesterday are only sand in an hourglass but there is no time between souls that reach to touch each other.

Today is yesterday's tomorrow and tomorrow's yesterday .. grammatically and, in the space of time.

This is a thought-provoking poem.. again, brief but full of thoughtful phrases. What we have today is something to be thankful for and, it's been coming and coming.. to be enjoyed and to learn from
