An ode to solitude...

Perpetuity

 

As if you would come and sit by me

And say words vivifying your stay more

Into the realm

 

As if we would match the equal sound

In our chests that drum the same

Humming

 

As if we never apart; just sit neck in neck

 

As if…

 

When cool breeze carries thousands of touch

In the woods that dance in the rhythm of love

When we quiver with life’s last remnant in us

In the dream or no-dream

 

As if it was not your turn; only mine.

To acknowledge that we are on an

Endless journey…

 

When sun shines with the same light

That multiplies the heat, spearing the sensation

And spreading white doves

Flying in the blue sky

 

As if…

 

We never meet to bid goodbye!

If only if .. to be with someone, to know someone .. and here, it doesn't appear to happen .. no chance to say hello, no chance to say goodbye .. how very, very sad.

I often commune with solitude; well, not as often as I like. I too "match the equal sound" of my heart beating in rhythm. Silence is a comfort to me; it's my minds song of what will be created on the canvass that is my imagination. I like this piece because it reminds me of my friendship with my quiet self.
