Chapter II- At Midnight

Chapter II- At Midnight

A Poem by rose with love

Sometimes the wind blows so light

She can’t even feel the storm of truth

That is about to lie on her shoulders.

Sometimes the day becomes night

And her blind eyes see nothing

But the abyss staring back at her.

She cannot stop the path of truth and sorrow,

She’ll only hear the agonising voice of regrets.

Her deep eyes will be not able

To see that silky smile again.

The ears, which once used to hear the two little birds singing,

Will no longer hear the laugh of truly faith.

The petals of the roses are falling in dispair,

So that time can engulf the beauty of sadness

In his eternal arms

And rock the baby’s cradle upon the memories.

Beginning from the start?

There’s nothing left but drunken glasses

And paper on the floor,

Drowned with the blood of the unexisting fairies.

Both of your Chapter II poems have a certain tone and feel to them that is a bit difficult to describe. I love the description and imagery you provide with your allusions to different aspects of nature and the borderline mythical, however, it has a very personal feel to it. I believe this is a beautiful thing, and it also makes me feel like an intruder; as if I do not belong in this realm. While that may irk some, I greatly enjoyed that feeling that your written atmosphere provided.

"The petals of the roses are falling in despair,/So that time can engulf the beauty of sadness/In his eternal arms/And rock the baby’s cradle upon the memories."
These lines carry a great amount of tragedy and emotion. I was shocked upon reading them, honestly. The baby addition produces quite a flame in the mundane heart, ill tell you that much. Lovely work.
