I MISS YOU

I MISS YOU

A Poem by rose with love

I miss your voice in spring singing away my pain,

Making death turn to gray,

Fade away.

I miss your eyes of summer, green as the field

Where I used to stumble

So you could come by my side

And say “everything is alright”

I miss your unhearing steps through the autumn’s feathers

So you could take me by surprise

And bring The last living leaf

In front of my eyes.

I miss your cold touch from winter

That in contact with mine would have melted,

Killed the sun and let us be the only ones

To shine

What I miss more is your heart swinging mine

Through every season of the year

In a blink of an eye.

But what I miss the most is YOU;

That human being, all flesh and bones,

So strong, so safe, so true.

I miss you.

This verse has a strong sense of emotion to it. It says it all, amazing work as usual =)

Beautiful imagery in this one, Rose. Even your happy memories can show flakes of sorrow as they bleed and peel, sinking onto my brain and swirling into my senses. That line about the last living leaf falling before your eyes was touching. I knew I could count on you to give me a great poem to slip into like new skin. Love it....
