Happiness

Feelings that I express no one in particular

You are the happiness I’ve been waiting for,

The feeling is pure, something I can’t ignore.

From the moment my soul saw you walk through that door,

I knew I’d be your light, your peace, and more.

When I’m near you, a spark ignites my core,

No hesitation now, I’m here, steadfast and sure.

Each day we grow closer, building something secure,

And for you, I’ll always fight, my intentions pure.

I remember every detail, even what you wore,

I’ll cherish and respect you, even when you’re out of sight.

I promised to mend the parts of you that tore,

To care for you deeply with all of my might.

Life is a battle, but it need not be a war,

When storms arise, I’ll hold you tight through the night.

I’ll ease your pain, your scars, and more,

Accepting you fully, just as you are, my light.

I like how this poem shows protection and shelter as a method to achieve happiness. I feel like this is somewhat forgotten in the world. it is essential to love. and how it ends with fully accepting the love interest. these are things we all look for. good job.
