Time Lord

A short article about a video game

If my memory serves me right, I bought Time Lord for the NES thirty-four years ago today. I bought it on July 4, 1991 for $20.00. I can remember when I bought it because it was on Independence Day. Time Lord is a side-scrolling time travel game that was manufactured by Milton Bradley.

The player comes from the year 2999 and must travel to the years 1250, 1860, 1650 and 1943 A.D. To advance from one level to the next, the player must find and collect five orbs. The player can find weapons such as swords and guns. The player must defeat a disguised boss at the end of each level.

Even though this game is called 'Time Lord', it has nothing to do with Doctor Who. I've always believed that it has excellent graphics for an NES game. Sadly, this game is hard and I wasn't able to beat it. If you collect NES games, you may want to add Time Lord to your collection.
