WhiskeyA Poem by rashmiI would like your honest opinion on my poetry work as I'm planning to publish them on a large scale and would want to know if it's good to go
Sipping the first sip of the fine whiskey u ordered,
I spot the golden tint of the same whiskey in your eyes That I remember seeing for the first time years ago And here we are Years after I thought our story was incomplete, Lost in each other's eyes and music blasting around us, Like the gentleman you always were, You politely ask me for a dance. And once more Lost In each other's arms again. That fine whiskey intoxicating us slowly Reminds me of our first dance years ago. Just like the old whiskey's bitterness I try not to ignore those bitter times too. But I know better, That getting back again Is no worse than the hangover we'll have tomorrow But For now, I let the intoxication consume me. © 2020 rashmiAuthor's Note
