Let Me Be

I wrote this poem while on a missions trip to New Mexico and it is a prayer out of the very bottom of my heart! :)

Lord, let me be a twinkling light

Let me live for you with all my life.

 

Lord, let me be a glowing fire

Let me lift your name higher and higher

 

Lord, let me be a shining flame

Let me set forth and proclaim your name

 

Lord, let me be a shimmering beacon

Let me stand firm and not be weakened

 

Lord, let me be a sparkling ember

Let me be a person to remember

 

Lord, let me be a dazzling star

Let me shine your light both near and far

^^ I like this, believers should have this desire to shine brightly for God, because that means the love of God shines through us so others can witness it and feel it. I think your prayer/poem reflects this desire perfectly.
