A Bird with a Broken Wing

A poem about becoming someones 'hero.' and showing them a different way to live when they are at their worst.

I searched the universe of online,

I  got there just in time.

There was he, a bird with a broken wing.

Squealing in pain, wanting for it all to end.

But I didn’t let him, I became his friend.

I picked him up in my hands, and took him in.

I helped him fix his broken wing

I taught him that there was hope, and I gave him ways to cope.

And one day, he ran away,

But he came back eventually.

He came back to my care, because he knew that he always belonged here.
