Sleep, Why won't you greet me?

It's late at night,

I should be getting to sleep.

But I can't the pain is too deep.

I close my eyes, and await for sleep to greet me, then I will awake.

But I've waited for a while now,

and it doesn't seem like sleep will come.

So there I lie awake sleepless,

and I await sleep to come.
