BURDEN

BURDEN

A Poem by Raymond Federle

This beast called love, that bears me, tired with my woe, consumed by it's own inner self, who, in despite of the view, is pleased to dote upon me.

Shall worms of thought, inheritors of this excess, delve into that black ink, my love may still shine bright and the world will be my widow and weep.

Dulling my lines and doing me a disgrace.
I grant that I never saw a goddess go, at random from the truth so vainly expressed.

"my love may still shine bright and the world will be my widow and weep."

That line stood out for me. But all is good...I like Hindi music and beats along with Arab ones...Magical...:).............
