Something Girl

Something Girl

A Poem by Raymond Federle

I don't know why she lays there stoned.

Pale glassey eyes looking around.

And there are no regrets.

Said "Maybe I'm stealing into her mind and hiding once again."

She lays there all balled up and crying.

Hurting so bad she feels like dying.

Holds herself to herself and reaches out for someone else.

She holds the world between her finger and her thumb.

She won't make a scene, it's to late for any sleep.

Tripping around, can't find it, what she has found in silence.

She wants to escape this maddness to somewhere else.

I really like that first line. Set's a great tone for the rest of the piece!

I think you did a very good job on this. pretty dark but that's your style, you just don't hear or see of many writer's today who are dark and mysterious. keep up the good work Raymond.
