The Shortest PointA Poem by Raymond FederleWild thoughts spread like transparent disasters in an inferno of emotion.
My soul, the witness to these actions, clouded and intangible, trying to recall the broken promises of my youth.
How many safe harbours have I left to set my course on the raging tide?
Drifting aimlessly across vast stretches of my inner self, empty and flat.
Open-eyed, hesitant and not understanding I move on without a backward glance.
For what memories, a lost man can chase his dream and miss his turning. © 2015 Raymond FederleAuthor's NoteFeatured Review
