Weep

Weep

A Poem by Raymond Federle

My tears are ink for the lines I write,

When all the world fades in brilliance.

Alone I am a single line of verse,

Tensed and versed in silent stillness.

A laughing fool that I pretend,

Gently dreams of quiet sleep.

If you could see I'm really crying and join me for a weep.

Great metaphor. When we are sad, isn't it comforting that we don't cry alone but someone is joining us in our weeping?

Concise but clever, Raymond. Good job!

Here you translate grief so beautiful, into metaphor, but, yes, but: it's a poem that must be felt, and you have felt it. Otherwise it wouldn't came out so elegant. The flow, is just spontaneously enough. You have a huge imagination my friend. And love your variety in words, each time I read a poem of you! well done.
