Jewel

Jewel

A Poem by Raymond Federle

She means more to me than what my eyes believe;

 She seems breathless and I hold her with great force of will in my heart.

 Moments become timeless and she views me with a crystal eye.

 She's filled with spirit and lays within my heart an internal summer.

 My beginning not as glad as mine own ending.

Behind the mask of her raven hair weaves a story all her own and I would make it mine.

She lives within a diamond uncut and sees more than she thinks she suffers.

I really like this one. The construction of it and leaving MINE all on its own adds to the feel of it.
